By car
The Zillertal is well connected to the Austrian motorway network. From the Inntal motorway A12, take the Zillertal exit (No. 39) and follow the Zillertal federal road B169. By train
If you prefer to travel by train in a relaxed manner, this is also possible without any problems. The nearest international train station is in Jenbach, from there the Zillertalbahn (a charming narrow-gauge railway) or a bus takes you to the various towns in the Zillertal, including Mayrhofen. Trains run regularly and offer a stress-free way to enjoy the breathtaking scenery upon arrival.
By plane
The nearest airport is in Innsbruck, about 70 km from Zillertal. Other airports nearby are Munich (approx. 170 km) and Salzburg (approx. 150 km). From there you can either take a rental car or use the well-organized shuttle and transfer services to the Zillertal. Alternatively, there are also direct train connections from Munich and Innsbruck to the Zillertal.
