Pure nature experience in summer
The summer months in the Mayrhofen-Hippach region are a paradise for nature lovers and active vacationers. Explore the impressive mountain world on extensive hikes on well-marked trails that lead you to crystal-clear mountain lakes, rustic alpine huts and breathtaking viewpoints. For climbing and mountain sports enthusiasts, the Zillertal Alps offer numerous routes and peaks to conquer. Mountain bikers get their money’s worth on the varied trails, while families can go on relaxed bike tours along the Ziller. Paragliding, rafting and via ferrata are also among the adventurous activities on offer in the region in summer.
Paradise for winter sports enthusiasts
In winter, the Genießerberg Ahorn and the Actionberg Penken leave nothing to be desired with a total of 490 kilometers of slopes. Whether the gentle blue run for families and beginners or the Harakiri, the steepest slope in Austria, there is something for everyone. But there is also a lot on offer off the slopes. Cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs, ice skating rink, prepared winter hiking trails, adventure swimming pool and much more are waiting to be explored here.
“In the mountains, there are these magical moments that open the door to an attitude to life that fulfills and inspires you.”
– we love Zillertal
Unique outdoor experiences for every fitness level in every season
The Zillertal is a paradise for mountaineers and the cradle of Alpine tourism. It offers every mountain lover, every hiker and, above all, every fitness level an enormous selection of exciting tours. While the Kitzbühler and Tux Alps boast gentle shapes and numerous two-thousanders, the Zillertal Alpine main ridge impresses with its deep valleys and rugged ridges as well as glaciated peaks up to well over 3000 m. There is also a lot on offer for mountain bikers, with gentle routes into the side valleys all the way to crossing the Alps over the Pfitscher Joch.
The “Hidden Treasures” exhibition in the nature park house in the mountaineering village of Ginzling is definitely worth a visit. There you will find a fascinating insight into the mysterious world of gemstones and the special geological history of the Zillertal. As a nature park partner business, our guests receive a 50% discount on admission.
The mountains are our passion. We are happy to help with tips. Or browse through the books of your hostess – she is the author of the illustrated book “Zillertal” and “Das große Zillertaler Wanderbuch” (both published by Tyrolia).
